Gearbox Software has confirmed that they have taken over Duke Nukem Forever, the epitome of gaming vapourware. The announcement came at the PAX expo this past Friday where Gearbox said that they will be releasing DK Forever in 2011.
Geabox’s Randy Pitchford spoke about Duke Nukem Forever, stating that the game had been clearly unfinished. He added that Gearbox have already created a lot of new content for the elusive title. “The approach and investment and process at 3D Realms didn't quite make it and it cracked at the end. With Gearbox Software we brought all those pieces together. It's the game it was meant to be.”
Given that we’ve been waiting for Duke Nukem Forever… forever, we’ll believe it is coming when we are holding a physical copy thanks.
