Sad news for those waiting on the return of the Playstation Store, it will not be returning yet as was (tentatively) announced previously. Sony representatives from both Europe and America have confirmed that while PSN was down for maintenance last night, the Playstation Store will only be making a return by the end of the month.
Sony Europe’s James Gallagher said on the Playstation Blog “The latest information I have on PlayStation Store is that we are aiming to have it live by the end of May. Contrary to popular rumours, it will not be reopening tomorrow but we will let you know here as soon as the date is confirmed”.
The Playstation Store has been down since 19 April, along with PSN. Sony’s online services have been partially restored but users who have yet to log in online with their PSN accounts still have a mandatory security update and password change to wade through before logging on.
