More Duke on the way

Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has promised that there will be more Duke Nukem coming, though it may not be in the video game format that you’d expect. Speaking in an interview with Forbes Zelnick mentioned that Duke Nukem specifically, and other Take-Two properties, might be making the jump to other mediums.

“If we can take some of our intellectual property and bring it to another medium in an extraordinary high quality way, that delights consumers and represents an interesting commercial opportunity for us, we will. We have certainly considered doing that with BioShock and with other titles. So far we haven’t brought anything to market, but stay tuned.”

He responded to criticism over Duke Nukem Forever’s content and humour, saying that the company stands behind the product they released. He also said that Take-Two takes ratings seriously and do not market titles made for mature audiences at children. Still speaking about the criticism that Duke Nukem Forever has garnered Zelnick said “What is there left to be said? I’m sorry if you don’t like it. Don’t consume it”.
