The EEE hits the desk
Asus have decided that the desktop market now needs to feel the wrath of its “E”xcellent ideas and has therefore had its eggheads work on a desktop version of its popular EEE Ultra Mobile PC. The white coats at Asus have come up with EBOX.
Some say it looks like the Nintendo Wii, and it does a little, but Asus have decided plain white is boring and have tattooed the EBOX with a tribal design on the side so it’s not boring in the least, there is also the option to have it in black (yummy).
So let’s talk specs. There are two models rumoured to be around. The first is the ‘big baddy’ which has a 160GB hard drive, 2GB RAM and is based on the Intel 945 chipset.
The baby has 1GB RAM and an 80GB hard drive, both models will be using the new Intel Atom processors.
So when do we get to have these babies in our greasy palms... they officially get launched on the 6th June 2008.
