Lieberman wants silence

Free speech is the American philosophy, they go to war for it, the liberate other countries from the tyranny of dictatorships to give the citizens the ability to express themselves without fear.

There is however a Senator in the US, Joe Lieberman, that believes that not all speech should be free and that the greatest tool of free speech, YouTube, should imposes limits on any persons wanting to post any anti-American videos, especially those videos that are from Islamic terrorists.

This of course has the free speech guys up in arms as they feel that any action taken by America to restrict any form of free speech on the web would be hypocritical, especially since the war in Iraq and Afghanistan was for the purpose of giving free speech to the citizens.

Google, owners of YouTube, are adamant that they will not budge on their view that no YouTube videos will be pulled unless that don’t conform to the user agreement which prohibits graphic violence and content of an adult nature. Google did however, under no obligation, remove a few videos that contained violence that had a theme of terrorism.
