Square Enix announced the street date for their upcoming Final Fantasy title, Final Fantasy Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, for Europe and related PAL territories (which includes South Africa). The title is only releasing on the Wii platform and should hit stores on 5 February next year.
The Crystal Bearers will feature action based gameplay, real time fighting and an open world gameplay mechanic. The developer also promises that the graphics engine will be pushing what the family console is capable of.
This title follows on from previous Crystal Chronicles titles and puts players into the shoes of a mercenary named Layle. Hired to escort a new passenger ship, Layle finds it besieged by monsters and begins on a quest that will possibly destroy the planet. Again.
