The newest addition to Ultima Online’s world is launching its eighth expansion on 8 September. The new add-on is called Stygian Abyss and will introduce the playable Gargoyle race to the game. This release will only be available via digital download.
Other features of the expansion include new areas: Ter Mur, the Gargoyle homeland as well as the Stygian Abyss, supposedly the biggest dungeon in the online title. There are new boss characters, the Medusa, Primeval Lich and Stygian Dragon and PvP zones.
Current Ultima Online subscribers can get involved in the Stygian Abyss Open Beta on 14 August. Check out some screens here or get your hands on the trial client here.
