Ubisoft announced today that their Romanian studio is developing the next instalment of the Silent Hunter game series. Silent Hunter 5 will put players at the helm of a German U-boat in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea and its release has been set for early next year.
Players will be able to live the life of a submarine captain, interacting with the crew as they go about their daily lives. Features of the upcoming title will be a first person perspective that will allow players to access every area of the U-boat, crew interaction and a new interface system that caters for novices and experts alike.
A dynamic AI and your actions influencing the outcome of campaigns are apparently also characteristics of the upcoming Silent Hunter and Ubisoft promises that the new title will be the most cinematic yet.
