Lenovo come back swinging

Lenovo launches its new line of lappies

Lenovo has officially launched is new SL line of laptops. Lenovo is an off shoot of IBM, and officially broke away from IBM in 2005 and has grown from strength to strength over the last few years. It now happily boasts an annual turnover of $16 Billion.

Lenovo is of course very proud that even though the laptop market has grown 25.7% over the last quarter, Lenovo has noted a 91.5% increase in their laptop sales over the same period. We say well done guys.

So Lenovo have traditionally targeted the business world. Their laptop lines include workstation replacement laptops and other powerhouse options.

They have now decided to grow their SME market share. How does this affect you? Well their SME targeted notebooks (the SL range) have all the specs a normal person would want in their personal laptop.

Biometrics, optional Blu-Ray drive (there was even mention of a writer), HDMI output, multi-card reader, webcam and an LED backlit display. Display sizes go from 13” to 15” and Lenovo are happy to say that these laptops are 99% recyclable. Michael Reed
