The new gadget has been unveiled
The new version of the iPhone has been unveiled at long last and the release may see owners of the previous model looking at the older handset in disgust.
The new unit comes in two flavours, the 8GB (selling for R1600 overseas) and the 16GB (going for R2400 but expect mark-ups for SA). The much-touted 3G is present as well as built-in GPS as a feature.
The look has been redesigned and shows off a slimmer, more curve aesthetic.
The apps available have undergone an overhaul as well with improvements in synchronisation and office apps being put in place. There may be a much wider range of applications released for this version of the iPhone in the near future as well.
The prices of the iPhone have been dropped drastically by Apple, possibly to combat somewhat mediocre sales of the last incarnation of the smart phone.
