Ubisoft Shanghai appears to be working on the sequel to the recent voice-activated RTS title, EndWar. The team working on the next incarnation of the title is smaller this time around but the developers are focussing on different areas of the game for the new release.
This follows an announcement by Ubi CEO Yves Guillemot at the beginning of this year that the fate of the EndWar franchise was uncertain due to sales and review scores but it seems that the 1.5 million copies of the title sold have made it deserving of a follow-up
The next EndWar will have a greater focus on the single-player aspects of the title and will also introduce more differences between factions to expand gameplay. Several other tweaks have apparently already been sorted out by the developers and all that is needed is to finalise the story and faction changes.
No release date has been hinted at as yet.
