Ars Technica has reported that Sony is nearing the final part of its plans for 2009, namely dropping the price of the PS3 and launching the PS3 Slim.
Exact figures on how much the price will drop are unknown, but industry veterans believe that there should be a worthwhile change in the price of the PS3 very soon.
This drop in price should give the console a great boost in sales, seeing how it has been criticized by gamers and gaming companies alike for being way too expensive.
